Corrupt AVI file

| Well, I just downloaded this software two weeks ago. I read all previous posts regarding file corruption and realize there are still problems with the software. :(
Sadly for me, a once in a lifetime opportunity to record a very important person on camera ended with 17 MB of compressed video that can't be even recognized as an AVI file. No fixer program or decoder or even gspot were able to recognize the file as an AVI file! :((((( whyyyyyyy????? why me??????
