Would you mind posting the solution on the forum? I have been encountering some of the same problems since purchasing/using the program. For some reason it crashes yahoo messenger 6 when the webcam is on, and many times the video files turn out to be unreadable and/or unrecognizable. However the size is correct for the video that is being recorded. I have tried to completely uninstall Ymessenger and then reinstall it twice with no significant effects. Are there any solutions to this ...

Well, after reading that post, I will give some of the other ideas a shot. Normally I have been using no compression anyway, but it could be the msconfig.exe. But, no one ever answered the question about the video, I know this isnt a video forum, but is there a way to salvage the videos? I am thinking that there has to be somehow to do it, but its a matter of finding out how. Thanks
